Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee
James E. White Jr., is currently a Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee (SUDP-T). James is recently retired from the United States Army with 21 years of service which included three combat deployments. James is attending Clover Park Technical College where he is pursuing a degree in Human Services and has obtained a certification as a Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee (SUDP-T). James is also an ordained minister.
James has a strong heart to help others that are struggling with both substance abuse and mental illness. He is a firm believer in the notion, “Treat others how you want to be treated.” James views the field of Substance Use Disorders and Mental Health Disorders as an opportunity to provide clients as well as their family members, acts of professionalism and kindness, while providing them with evidence-based counseling. Ultimately, James is committed in helping NW Family Recovery Solution clients reach and maintain sobriety, allowing them to productive citizens in society and use their potential.
Hailing from Pensacola, Florida, and the varied populations and cultures James has experienced during his Army career, he understands diversity and how to reach people where there are now and how to move them to a better place. When James is not co-leading IOP groups, he spends his time with his wife and three children.
