Kylie Stern, MA, LMFT, LMHC, SUDP is the clinical director at NW Family Recovery Solutions. Kylie is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist; Licensed Mental Health Counselor; and licensed Substance Use Disorder Professional. With three professional licenses, Kylie is very passionate in working with individuals, couples, and family members struggling with co-occurring disorders (substance abuse and mental health challenges). Kyie is a compassionate and energetic clinician who has had the privilege of working with diverse populations and experience living abroad to understand the unique needs and skills needed to help a wide range of individuals/families going through these transitions and struggles.
Kylie strongly believes that addiction effects not only the individual, but the entire family and does not discriminate. The path to recovery is different for each individual based on their past situation, unique challenges and personal needs. The key to making “peace” from within instead of engaging in the “battle” is become aware of the root causes of our struggles and then use the right skills to break these chains.
Kylie’s group and individual counseling style draws upon evidence-based (e.g., motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral treatment) and strength-based approaches. This process helps others reach their full potential. Her core treatment modalities approach is a blend of Family Systems; Cognitive Behavioral; and Solution Focused disciplines in supporting you and your loved ones toward the journey to recovery, empowerment, and freedom.
Kylie co-leads IOP groups, conducts individual sessions, and directs the clinical operations at NW Family Recovery Solutions. Kylie is currently accepting new clients at our Port Orchard IOP location and has flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
